What a day we had at V718. An event billed as Yorkshires slowest 120 riders saw three of the newbies smash their personal bests by 2 to 3 minutes !

Andy Cal recorded a 22.28. Steve mcCall 22.41. John Callaghan 23.53, and Dave Sugden a 25 (with admittedly very little training this year).

Official results are still due but the times posted might not be slow enough for the slowest 120 next time. Chapeau to the men in green, allez le vert , Were Thorpers United !

Hi,

     what sort of distance/routes are you guys doing on the club runs?

I am newish to cycling and the legs are still getting used to it, not to mention the hills of West Yorks!!

I may be interested in joining along for a trial but don’t know if I will hold you up too much.

Star Wheelers are planning a coast to coast ride on 5th July, they are open to us taking part as well, transport from Huddersfield area  to start and  return trip from Scarborough.

Keep an eye of their forum on,  http://www.starwheelers.com/  for prices etc..

Interesting idea posted on there that they are thinking of the club contributing to the cost?
