New Years Day Fancy Dress Time trial:-) :-) !!!!!!

Fancy making a “fool” of yourself and risk bringing shame onto your entire family and Ravensthorpe CC :-)by getting outrageously togged up on New Years Day for a fun time trial around Hartshead circuit (4.6 miles)?

After the farcical shennanigans it is proposed we refresh ourselves in a local hostillary and refuel our  glycogen stores with post race recovery food (pie and peas!!) and drinks (real good, real ale (for the men), lager (for the other “men”) and a white wine sprizter for the ladies).

Everybody is obviously welcome to bring the family and/or friends.

Initial thoughts on venue are the Old Colonial in Mirfield but I will contact them in the next week to enquire. If anybody has contacts elsewhere please let us know and we can discuss and compare options.

Lets all get together and kick the year off to a great fun start and have a reet gud laff!!!! (Just think it’s the first 4.6 miles of what could be a great year).

You know you want to!

Steve.

P.S. Anybody who goes as one of Max Mosley’s “lady friends” risks the wrath of severe ridicule on youtube!!

We’re up for it !! Its a great idea

I’M THERE !!! Cracking idea, I’ve already got some ideas!

What I’ve got in mind would make Max Mosley blush, and would probably be banned on You-tube!!

I think in honour of his World Championship win, Matt should ride round with a sack of coal on his back, which will also act as a nice handicap.

I will have more pressing things to do on New years day, like lie in and suffer with a hang over!! I won’t be in a fit state for this, if it was boxing day then I could be up for it but New Years Day for me is always a right off!

Trying to do the hartshead circuit carrying a sac of coil, none handed would be a challenge!

  4. Martyn says:

great idea, I’ll dress as a cyclist!

any of the local pubs would be easy as they aren’t that busy.

The Fountain would do snacks if we asked.

Steve, is now club social sec, and matt is the anti-social sec!
