Former Thorper Back on the Bike

Hi there,
When wasting some time on the net I came across the Club’s web site, and so am very pleased to be able to get back into contact with you. A couple of the older members may still remember me, I did a bit of racing back in the seventies in the Ravensthorpe jersey. I am back on two wheels again, but no where near being competition fit, or even club-run fit, but enjoying it. Am in Germany at the moment after many years out in Asia, so now I am a bit closer to home would be good to keep in contact with the club again. If you can figure out a way for me to pay the membership, and buy a jersey, I would be really happy to sport the Ravensthorpe colours on the roads around Munich. Club Time Trial dates

The date for the club 15 is the 14th Sept at 1000, organised by Yorkshire Ladies CA on the V724, Newport Howden Newport.
The date for the club 25 is now 5th October at 0800, organised by Yorkshire Cycling Federation on the V234, Dishforth Leeming Bar Dishforth.
All entries welcome, anybody without a handbook let me know and I will send you the address of the organisers.
Also the Hill Climb is on the 19th October oganised by Huddersfield CA on Ripponden Bank, course V999 (you may need to dial 999 for an ambulance after this one!!!!)

Saturday Cafe run to Windmills Cafe, near Ingbirchworth.

There is a new start time for anybody unaware and anybody reading the old outdated web-site, the time is now 0915 for a steady ride to the Windmills cafe.

Any new members are always welcome and will be given a very warm welcome by a great bunch of people, club nights are on a Tuesday 1930 at Trinity Street Scout hut in Mirfield, and club runs are 0900 every Sunday from the bus stop 100 meters from the Swan pub.
