The club A.G.M. is to be held late october. It now the time to think of who you want to be the officials for 2008/2009, we seem to have an influx of new members who seem to have some progressive ideas, maybe they would like to be nominated for some official position. If so dont be shy come forward and yourselves be known.

I would definitely be willing to take some sort of position but I don’t know what is available, or if anyone would like to move to a different role I would have a crack at theirs if they fancy a change?

    Steve.

I would gladly take up a role. Club clothing, leaflets, website co ordination, anything really.

Perhaps those who are interessted in time trials etc could get their heads together and agree some dates before the AGM?

In the past more time has been spent discussing various courses events and stuff than the other business?

If you were able to agree something and put it forward as a recommendation we could be in the pub sooner!

Alternatively, if handbooks etc aren’t out ( in which case the debate is dubious) how about we defer it to you guys to bring a report back to the next committee meeting?

We can look at dates quite easily as most events are run on similar weekends in the year. We just have to make sure all riders can enter the evnts because fast courses are often oversubscribed (E.G. the V718 in Hull) and need a fast qualifying time.

I will look at some dates with my fellow testers and come prepared!

One suggestion I would like to raise is moving the competition for the 10 mile TT, so more people can help marshall on our event that we are organising in April. This will lead to more riders being free to participate in the competion itself and an even better running of the Ravensthorpe 10, where we struggled for helpers at one point.

Martyn, I like the sound of “in the pub sooner” :-)

CLUB EVENTS 2009. THERE SHOULD BE A PROVISIONAL LIST OF OPEN EVENTS AVAILABLE EARLY OCTOBER. IF SO THE EVENTS CAN BE PICKED FROM IT.
