YCF 25 TT Club Championship.

After a week of promised dreadful weather , Sunday dawned clear with little wind but pretty cold. The 2008 season final club Time trial championship was won by Steve mcCall in a pb of 58.02. Other riders were Andy Cal in a pb of 58.45, Al Wareham in a debut 1.01.04 and the evergreen John Hatfield in 1.01.30. A very satisfactory day for the Thorpers !

Well done to Steve who nailed it with a superb display going so close to a 57 on only his second 25!

Chappeau to the men in green………………..Allez le vert.

Don’t forget there’s still the Club Hill Climb Championship on October 19th. This is the Huddersfield CA Ripponden bank course V999.

    Talk about bigging yourself up Stevo!!

    All jokes aside, it was an excellent ride by Steve and Andy. I’d also like to say thank you to John Hatfield who very kindly stayed behind at the end to query my time with the timekeepers!! (I knew they had got it wrong originally!!)

    Hope to see as many of you aspossible at the forthcoming Hill Climb!!

    Re club 25. It is nice to make contact with the outside world via my steam/wife driven machine manufactured to evergreen/BS spec.

    This personal abuse will not stand !
    The tights “appear” wrinkled because of the speed effect.
    I was going so fast at that point that the wind resistance tried to tear my clothes off.
    For your cheek,sausage, I will thrash you EVERY race next season.

    That must have been the only point you WERE going fast ;-)

    If the wind was ripping at you clothes because of your speed then I should have finished NAKED!!!

    (Blurgh, perish the thought of a naked ginner on a red bike and clashing green booties!!!!!)
