Club run report for 23/11/2008 - present were Alex Millman,  Martyn Bolt and Craig Johnson. On a very cold morning the three set off, Alex left at Sowerby Bridge as he was sick of being on the front dragging ginger and co along ( he also had to be at work ) The rest has been reported by Martyn.

Hope we can get a good turn out for them all, even I promise to ride the hill climb! Don’t promise to post a good time though ;-)

If anybody needs any help with forms etc give me shout anytime and I will endeavour to do my best as your friendly racing sec!

I will be hounding you all nearer the time so make sure you have my number memorised and caller display working if you wanna dodge the events!!!

When the handbooks come out I will be printing off the races that Andy, John and me have got our eyes on and will pin them on our notice board in the new club room. If anyone else has races that they fancy they can add them on a sheet that I will put up alongside these.

well worth it!

It was worth braving the wind, rain and freezing weather today

I saw 2 rare sights, each of whihc would have made the ride worth it but combined they are priceless

The ’scenery’ at Townley Hall cafe was at its usual highstandards, although i do wonder if the health and safety lot might have something to say about the waitresses exposing so much midriff in the cold weather?

The to make it prefect on the way back that sight, rarer than the first cuckoo of spring, craig at the front!  It was fleeting, as his rotund figured barrelled past me near the cooper bridge roundabout, grinning like a cheshire cat as he tried to nick the Kirklees sign sprint,

I must admit at times on the ride it felt like I was on a tandem as he was sat so close behind me that i never thought about the sprint

Well you lot missed it as I doubt he’ll be at the front again this year
