We thought that you had either been kidnapped by aliens, or that you were somewhere in the Lincolnshire countryside surrounded by tandem riding hippies and breast feeding lesbians on one of those Audax thingies; debating the merits and joys of beards, state benefits for the travelling community and cheese sandwiches.

Sorry i missed it but I’d been to York and harrogate on friday, then train to York on Saturday and rode back so contented myself with a swim Sunday morning and some home time

Although when i saw the weather i was cheesed off

By the way jack is down for the Etape du dales so hopefully riding with Brad , me and Dubai Craig

Factory/Pilot - maybe you might get to sit in the bunch sometimes if you turned up on time. But it was good to see you on Sunday, eventually….

Tell you what, it was great to hear Mike’s enthusiasm, and amazing to see his ability for someone with only 8 months on a bike.

Jack was one hell of a rider too, very strong all the way around,he had some interesting tales to tell, hopefully they will both return and be Thorper regulars.

Guys, thanks for the ride Sunday, I really enjoyed it and will certainly be there more often. I am quite often travelling during the week, so thursdays will be a bit difficult, but (i hate rain) if the weather is reasonable, I will be there next Sunday. (can I bring my car as well Doug?)

I’m sure I’d feel fresh too if I just sat in the bunch all day……
It would be good to see this bunch out more often on a SUNDAY if poss!?!
It’s great to see Mike (the ref…) enjoying the rides and fingers crossed Jack enjoyed it enough to keep turning up. It seems 15+ mph isn’t an unpopular pace after all!!!!!

I wasn’t kidding Alastair. When I got home I washed and cleaned the car, cleaned the bike, then did 40 minutes on the turbo.

If you think that bonk on a club run is bad just wait until you get it at 70 miles in a100 or at 9 hrs in a12 hr.It then becomes what is commonly know as character building. By the way £3.50 for beans on toast is cheap if it means avoiding bonk. Gud luck & keep on bonking
