Club Ride (3 May)
Our club ride to Waddington became a club ride to Keighley - with the small number of our members heading off in different directions after a well deserved break. Understandable with many of the members having done the Club’s 25m TT on Saturday…
Doug and I tested our legs, doing some training for the Alps later this year with a couple of hefty climbs - out of Keighley via Oxenhope to Hebden Bridge, then Crag Vale (which is supposed to be Englands longest climb - certainly not the steepest) - decending to Ripponden and than further over the hill (this was steep!) to Elland and back home. We did just over 100km with 1600 metres climbing and 25.5 km/h average. Not too bad with the wind!

Having left keigthley, [the 2 johnsons, craig and phil], we sped of at a high tempo to Burnsal where we had a FULL ENGLISH BRECKY each, all made the better by being served by a top heavy 18 year old young lady. Came home on the back roads via Otley. not a hill climbed and unsure of mileage. phil j
