Etape Du Dales

What time are riders thinking of starting the ride as it may be good to get a photo at the start?

I know that will be the last we see of Jack based on his current form

Are any Thorpers riding to Grassington on the 17th or will it be another impromptu club run?

I understand they have ‘batch’ starts…what about 8.30 - we probably have to be there a bit earlier. I have no experience how busy it is, what the peaktimes are etc. My brother is riding as well (so that’s two Dutchmen!) - although he lives half of his time in Chile. He’s quite fast, but using my winterbike - so that might slow him down a bit.
Like to idea of the photo at the start.

    Hi Jack

    ( where shouts everyone!)

the usual form is you can start your ride as soon as you want by docking your timing chip, once that’s done your clock is running so we need to sort a time, get the photo etc then get the chips?

0830 sounds OK it means leaving home at about 0700 to allow time for changing etc?

We can firm up times when we see the weather forecast

The weather forecast is not too good, it will be raining apparantly - nevertheless I still think 8.30 is a good time to leave, I reckon the ride will take around 7.30 hours? Be back than at around 4pm.
If anyone wants to ride with me, I can easily put two bikes in (my wife’s) car.
