Hebden Bridge Club Run

Riding today were Jack de Bocx, and Craig Johnson. We glimpsed Martin Lucas at the library as he took the direct route to today’s objective. Danny joined us for a chat before joining the Sowerby ride.
After discussions with Jack we set off to Queensbury via Baliff Bridge. A communication problem meant I missed the turn at Denholme (D’oh!). So with a Dutch-style shrug of shoulders we went on to the roundabout just above Keighley and took the long way round up and over Oxenhope. Coming down Oxenhope, incidentally, were the Sowerby crew, minus Danny.
Via Pecket Well we reached our objective, Hebden Bridge, where we refuelled. Jack became an orange dot on the horizon as we went up the 5.5m climb up Cragg Vale. Going back over Ripponden Bank it was getting noticeably warm; we returned via Elland & Brighouse.
The weather was excellent, and we had a cracking ride. We did just under 100km and were back by 1pm, which was nice. My thanks to Jack for slowing down to accommodate an FSB rider like me.
