A quick report on the TT over at Hatfield Woodhouse O10/1 course.

A lovely and relatively calm day welcomed Jack, John Cal, John Hat, and me, Steve McC. Jack was off first and amazingly was feeding his face with food about 3 minutes before he was due off. I was even stressed for him, there has to be somthing about this Dutch lifestyle (any nationality who can raise a boy to deity level who sticks his finger in brick wall that’s leaking water must be either relaxed or smacked off their t1t$   :-)

The ride out was against a cheeky little head wind which gave a good push for home. The road surace was rural to say the least but there was hardly any traffic, apart from the HUGE caraven that was 50 yards ahead of me at the turn. I thought about chasing for a bit of a draught but my gut quickly slammed into my chin putting any ideas of acting above my station out of the question!

The times were.

JDB - 24.12 - A new PB by over2 and a half mins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

John Cal - 24.36 (?)

Me - 24.57.

John Hat - I do not know because he would not tell me and I was too cramped up after hauling myself over all of 10 miles to go check!

An excellent ride and I’m  THOUROGHLY glad to be back, it was the most enjoyable ride I’ve had bar the 54 and 1:56 last year.

Allez.

PS Just glad Al was not there to really rub my nose in it!
