The old Buffers, or the Easter Club Run!

It was either the high turn out for the Windmills run or everyone was feeding their face on Chocolate but a low turn out today at the library.

Harry was spotted out for an early stroll and El Pres rolled out for a flyer, so Martyn, Fry up Phil, Craig J, Andy Cal and Dave H made the start, it was blustery to say the least so we opted for Mannigham, lane rather than Queensbury,( Craig moaned about it being his commuter run…) at Rossi’s we saw Martin L, but he left as we arrived and apparently headed for Otley.

We eased up Cringles and down through Addingham before turning at Bolton Bridge for the climb up to Storriths, resplendant in his shiny new Thorper top, Hirsty uttered the immortal words, ” I’m going to attack this hill” and set off hard.  The hill is deceptive as after the first climb it keeps going and then as you turn off the main road, it rises again.  Hill 1 , dave 0  ;-)

The cafe was busy with walkers and cyclists but the food was quickly served and Phil resorted to a full english before we  dropped down and through Beamsley, at Ilkely the Johnson twins announced they were taking on the Cow and calf, the rest shrugged and went via Burley, Menston and Hollins Hill, at Bradford Andy turned for dudley hill and left 3 muskateers to slog up manchester road.

The weather had stayed reasonable with no rain and the following wind on the way home made for a pleasant ride of 100Kms at 24.9 avg.

 Has anyone seen Doug???
