The 10 mile Veterans race was held on Saturday on the V718 in splendid sunny conditions. It was a welcomed change to see everyone smiling and buzzing at HQ prior to the event. The day was sunny and warm for this time of year with nothing more than a gentle breeze to hinder the riders progress. The event was won by Steve Gore Brown 20.05 and fastest lady was Lynne Taylor 21.06.Thorpers in action were:John Lancaster 22.18, a good time despite having a bad cough (naughty boy, should have rested!). I think we will see John back to top form this season.John Hatfield 23.58 ,  still dialling in his Ridley bike set up.Paul Brierly  22.26 , I know he’s not a Thorper but almost.Andy Callaghan  21.55, 9 seconds off a PB so early in the season…. come on me babby!Derrick Milner  30.36, did’nt see Derrick to speak to, good ride, much respect. It’s the Ravensthorpe 10 next Saturady over at Fairburn. I will be marshalling and Linda will be on tea duty. If you are’nt racing try and attend to help out.It will be interesting to see how Ed Clancy goes ?See you up the road.
