A sunny but very breezy day that strangley produced some good times welcomed 2 Thorpers and 1 ex-Thorper for the Otley CC 10 on the V214.

Starting at Topcliffe and turning at Soth Kilvington along the well travelled A168, the V214 is not the fastest of 10s and is quite exposed but the tarmac was ripped up by the newset member of Team Swift (Al Wareham) when he produced a stunning ride and time of 21.48, just 19 seconds off his PB!

Derrick was off really late in the cold and increased wind producing a time of 31.03 which was a fantastic time when compared to times he knocked out on the super fast V718, well done Derrick.

I did a 23.42, knocking nearly 2 minutes off my last ride on this course 2 years ago. I felt pretty good for quite a few sections of the course, it’s stating to come back very slowly! Hitting 30 MPH into a block head wind and up hill to the finish definately made my legs feel like they had been in a race!!!
