In the past we have used a route for the short reliability which took us round selby.

 As an alternative and given the later  start any interest in using the old A1 ( 168) up to Dishforth , if mapping is correct then a turn at Dishforth should see the ride finish just outside Boroughbridge and stop there for lunch before ambling home, which could be via Whixley, Tadcaster and Towton Moor?
