sunday report

For the second time in 2 weeks we took the scenic passage of keithley moor over the top via oxenhope on a warm sunny morning.    those out today were Martyn,Brad, John t, and the Johnsons.  An early kick off allowed us to get to Barley just in time , being able to catch the finish of the ladies race, helped by a massive screen we watched Nicole cookes 9 year dominance undone by Pooley with a well timed sprint one mile from the finish.  At this point we set off to the cabin ready for our f e b”s , but no!   normal menu was of and we had to settle for hot dogs, someone had a ham salad but he shall be left nameless.  a point noted was the sowerby boys just had the lattes and were off after ten minutes so they could watch the football…. a bad call me thinks!  Anyhow, in true yorkshiremen we are, so the news the gatorade stand where giving out free full bottles to all, we filled our boots to the max, got to say the green bottles do look good on a black carbon frame.  After 45 minutes of watching the early stages of the mens race we set of for home, coming through Burnley and the calder valley, unsure of mileage but some nice hills climbed.  john & craig, sorry about the last bit

They are having their AGM this Thursday, 24th June and as such the main hall is unavialble for the cycling club.

They were unsure if they had mentionned this at the start of the year and apologise for the short notice, made even shorter as i had no email access at York.

 Please circulate to all members
