The Saturday runs to the Windmills cafe are becoming very popular which is great to see. But may be some are not used to riding in a group we have had a couple of near misses with some riders riding on the wrong side of the road and having to take evasive action which puts the rest of the group in danger. So remember folks ride 2 abreast or single file where need be.  Ride tidy, be safe.

Yorkshire VTTA held the 25 mile time trial on the V236 course on Saturday.Thorpers were represented by John Lancaster recording 1.02.08.Other riders to note were Paul Brierley  1.02.03  and Al Wareham finishing a creditable 5th in 56.05.Sunday morning saw the Pennine CC 50 which was also the Ravensthorpe Club 50 Championship.Ravensthorpe riders were………….er……me!To justify winning the trophy, even though uncontested, a PB was set in 2.01.24.One day I will get under two hours!The event was won by Joel Wainman  1.44.47  and Al Wareham recorded a PB in 1.57.10.Any other Thorpers out there in TTs, let us know how you got on.
