Sunday Club Run 15th Aug
This sunday club run is over to Keighley via Withens Moor with a stop at the usual Rossis Cafe. Then over the Cringles, Bolton Bridge and the final big climb of Langbar!! followed with a afternoon brew at Otley. Now there will be a Guest Hill just thrown in for the fun of it which will be revealed on the day?? Those that dont fancy the hills then there is a much flatter alternative and we can still all meet up for breaks. So no excuse get your bikes out and lets see a good turn out.. Cheers Alex..

Hi, any room for a little one? never rode with a club before, can i just show up and ride? or do i have to join the club first? If i can just show up where and when do you set off?

Hi yes you can just show up and you will be made very welcome. As you have read the blog you will be aware of the sort of distances we are doing on a Sunday so a certain level of fitness is needed but there is always a stop for a morning brew and then you can shorten the route and head for home. We meet outside the library in Mirfield at 9am. Hope to see you Sunday cheers Alex

Cool. im not a whippet but can hold my own on a 60 miler. Went up langbar the other week with my brother, and was going to do it on sunday on my own any way, so would be nice to ride with a decent group. I think he has ridden with your selfs a few times too (rick walker-blue trek with fulcrum 3’s).

ex dh,
The Sunday guys would love to have you on the club run, the Thorpers always welcome new guys.
They are a great bunch to be out with and will make you more than welcome.
Hope you enjoy.
Personally hope to see you when I return after the summer testing season.

Ex dh,
They are a good bunch and coming out with a club will without doubt improve your fitness however sounds like you will have no trouble anyway. A word of warning though, if a chap called Doug tries to make you do ‘things’ that are an ‘initiation routine’ tell him to sod off. He caught me with that on my 1st run… twice on my second and five times on my third!

Yes too right look out for anyone called Doug…
13/08/2010 at 09:36 am
Anyone for an initiation ceremony on Cranksnapper Hill?

Ex DH,
You are very welcome on Sunday. It will be a good one. As Al says, you can ride as far as you like - you don’t have to do the whole lot. However, you might just get carried away like the rest of us!

Chris,
Not confirmed but I should be out, and you’ll have heard from your kid that I’m not on top form. So we can sit on the back and let the others tow us round.

It’s jolly nice. Using my brothers house while I am there so nice and cheap, just how I like my women.
