The V240 yesterday turned into a swimming contest. When i left for an early start, 5th, it started dripping, by the time i set off it started raining and at the end of the 30 mile drag over the A19 it was chucking it down. Together with significant wind gusts I got wet to the bone. The spay and puddles didn’t help getting into good rythm, nevertheless i wasn’t too disappointed with my result: 1h11′03, 25.3 mph average. Alastair ended as fifth in 1h04′03, well done! 25 riders DNF or DNS, which wasn’t a suprise with this weather.
